There aren’t many places in this country with the Mercedes sign in the background that evoke so many extreme emotions in me, the vast majority of them positive, of course, so I’m glad this place is so close.

I recently had the unique opportunity to visit the Mercedes-Benz Duda Cars showroom, yes I know, walking around the showroom is a trite topic, but my visit had a special meaning this time. Namely, on the sales floor (the professional name I don’t mean to use willy-nilly) stood three uniquely beautiful “cukes”: two convertibles and one landaulet… God only knows what to call it so as not to offend. When I add that one of them was additionally distinguished by fat-sounding AMG symbols, and the others were with Maybach insignia, you probably know that Slawek (photo) and I felt like we were having breakfast at the Prince of Monaco’s, except that we were only mirroring the table.

When you come to look at such unique specimens you know that bringing up the subject of equipment is as tactless as asking a woman her age. It’s hard to find anything in these models that isn’t there, after all, we had before us the Mercedes-Maybach G 650 Landaulet (1 of 99), the Mercedes-Maybach S 650 Convertible (1 of 300) and the Mercedes-AMG C 63 Convertible Ocean Blue Edition (1 of 150). Nothing better could be imagined. However, I was still strongly interested in what became the reason for buying such models “for the living room”

It’s no secret that the topic of convertibles at sales dealers is a bit like the topic of buying meat at the store during martial law. When asked if there was meat, most vendors hid in the back room or snorted under their breath in surprise. The same is true of inquiries about convertibles from representatives of many brands in our country. After several attempts at conversation, my knowledge expanded that quote: if I want a convertible, I have to buy one, then it will be on the showroom (wow thanks for the permission). We do not have one, but we can bring one, it will take a few weeks, or: We do not have a convertible as you ordered, but we have a sports coupe, oh and here suddenly such a surprise! So curiosity pushed me further to find out more about what drove the owner of the Mercedes-Benz Duda-Cars dealership to make such a decision to include so many convertible vehicles in his lineup.

I haven’t had a chance to talk to the owner himself, but from the information I got from p. Lukasz Pełnikowski MPM, I learned that when looking to make a vehicle purchase, we don’t have to imagine the pleasure of driving a new Mercedes C/ E or S class convertible model because they are on the showroom floor. What’s more, this dealer has in its fleet of demonstration cars, including convertibles that can be checked during test drives.

This is due to the passion and the will to fulfill the owner’s own vision, who decided to make it the best demo car park in the country. I make no secret of the fact that the Mercedes, due to its price, is still out of my reach, and although the car’s financing models are extremely attractive, especially with the CREDIT&DRIVE package (below you’ll find the contact details of a man who will explain this fantastically) I still can’t afford it. That doesn’t change the fact that such an approach to convertible sales as here in Poznan, at the Mercedes-Benz Duda-Cars dealership, allows us to hope that something has vibrated in the sales of the cars we love so much.

After all, how else to sell dreams of freedom, wind in your hair and streaking sunshine when you’re driving an enclosed station wagon. This is best done through direct contact. How do you inspire people to buy models that evoke such unforgettable emotions if you can’t touch them, feel them, take the first ride in the convertible of your dreams….

To sum up, we have a new approach to selling convertibles that deviates from the stereotype, and praise them for it!

PS.1 This Landaulet in the photos is worth more than PLN 4 million and on the day we had the pleasure of viewing it, it already had a person interested in buying it. Bad tongues say that we will not meet him on Polish roads, but as they say, bad tongues say stupid things, good ones make orgasms, and we are in seventh heaven! Mercedes-Benz Duda-Cars, thank you!
