The Audi TT has always generated interest on special occasions; in 2006, Audi released a special edition TT to celebrate the end of the first generation of the design icon. This time, the Audi manufacturer has embarked on an intercontinental tour of the brand’s farewell specialties, such as the 2022 TT RS Quattro Heritage Edition, 2023 TT RS Iconic Edition and 2023 TT Final Edition in Europe, the Audi TTS Memorial 2023 Edition in Japan, and now for Americans only, the TT Roadster Final Edition. The appearance of the lowered roof makes this copy different from other unique editions in terms of equipment elements, so according to. specifications: it can only be had in the Goodwood Green Pearl Effect color with Palomino Brown leather, and the exterior color and interior trim are reminiscent of the first-generation Audi TT that took the market by storm. Who doesn’t remember those wonderfully plaid armchairs and the “green bottle” color!
Premium Grey Matte accents highlight the S line body, but Audi consistently omits the S line badges this time. The gray roof was previously available only on the occasion of the 20th. anniversary of the TT Roadster in 2019. Those familiar with the brand remember it well. This is not a serial color! Additional special kit for this unique piece includes Audi’s magnetic ride suspension with 20-inch forged wheels with Y spokes on the outside, carbon-fiber inserts, extended Palomino Brown leather on elements such as the car’s trunk and doors, and unique floor mats for the interior.
Fifty units will be delivered to the U.S. market, each powered by a 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine generating 228 horsepower and 258 Nm of torque, shifted through a seven-speed dual-clutch transmission. They start at $68,895 before options and taxes – that’s $10,000 more than the 2023 Audi TT Roadster, or about $290k also if you have some uncle or aunt overseas because the last chance to buy one because the 2023 Audi TT Roadster Final Edition may be the last way to order a new TT In the States, Audi’s website has already converted its TT page to a three-generation history of the car and removed the “Build and Price” option, which means the TT faces the same fate as the R8. Production of the TT ends this model year, an Audi executive suggested last month that future “iconic cars” are already being developed on the Volkswagen Group’s electric platform.
