The 9th International Festival CABRIO POLAND this time at LAKE HILL Resort & SPA
In May this year, right after the parade, we all knew, I mean the organizing team of course, that the most hectic period of our lives was beginning, this consisted of several reasons.
The first reason – is, as you may have guessed, the III MZ CABRIO POLAND 2018, the third event is always in the nature of the so-called. test, that is, the first could have succeeded for us, because the first and so in general, the second event-let’s say it followed the blow, on top of that a good promotion, accommodation included in the price, etc. But if people come to you on the third ie. That something of your work is important and has been appreciated.

The second reason – is the level of the event, I remember how Marek Marciniak, one of our party regulars and a convertible lover said after the second rally quote: “Now you have raised the bar for yourselves” there was something in that, because the whole team felt the pressure when planning the third edition and knew that they had to do their best to make it even better than the previous one, especially since we strongly analyzed the signals as to the possible comments and hints on. attractions along the route, etc. Was she? It’s not for us to judge, one thing is for sure, the points during the rally were more than the cold we needed on the route like a rainstorm.

The third reason – if we want the event to grow, we need to move it to a place over which we will have permanent control and here, as you know, we all live in Poznan. Probably more reasons could be mentioned, but it was enough to make us feel the pressure we didn’t have before, a change of venue is also a big challenge both communicatively and logistically. The vast majority of our participants associated CABRIO POLAND with Gniezno, also it was necessary to pay strong attention to the changes and communicate it quite suggestively, since more than 230 teams had signed up, ie. That the effect has been achieved, no less, the work regarding the change of venue has begun and we hope that the new location will be accepted. We didn’t let on that three days before the event, excavators were nimbly roaming the grounds of the Scout’s Glade and the area itself looked as if someone wanted to make the largest sandbox in Eastern Europe, we didn’t embrace the litter box!

Day one “Integration event”
Something always tempts me to rename the rally somehow, I do not know why, but I usually associate it with a huge square under the CH, open masks and in the back in plastic cups consuming warm alcohol, the malicious will say “everyone takes after each other” I, however, have heard so much about such events that this is what I was afraid of when Tomasz Stube and I planned the first event. But to the point, with the past event in mind, I knew it had to be done differently again from everyone else. So that this atmosphere of good fun will give for the next days:) The idea for a team-building event at MALTA IMPREZY was born by itself as soon as we entered this hill covered with lush grass overlooking Lake Malta. I knew from the beginning that this would be the perfect place to meet, have casual conversations and dance. Those who have been with us, already know that the integration event is far from the stereotypical integration, sometimes wrongly glued to the world of corpo, musical performances, demonstrations by master bartenders, baristas, dance school, competitions or, simply lying on a deck chair in the company of positively twisted people who love convertibles. All this made up the event preceding the III MZ CABRIO POLAND, I forgot to add something about the kitchen, which, thanks to the talent of Ada Marczewska, was going full steam until dusk. All this was to put our guests in a blissful mood so that they could hit the road the next day with peace of mind.

Day two
“Rally Full of Mysteries”- last year’s rally, left unsatisfied, as it turned out that water crossings were a challenge not only for people but also for cars, hence this year’s rally we planned along routes full of mysterious places, but also with good communication. The one-man shooting bunker in Puszczyk, the observation tower in Mosin, the Arkady Fiedler Museum, the drawbridge leading to Edward Island or the siege machine shooting course at the Grodno in Pobiedziska are just a few of the rest of the attractions planned along the route. This year, however, it was not the route that proved a challenge, but the very high temperature, thermometers on the route showed 48.8’C at the surface, the heat was pouring from the sky and the surprise prepared on the route with a sausage roasting over a bonfire, grew from the rank of “chelendż” like in the TVN series starring Małgosia Rozenek, fortunately the mood was good and the teams coped with this minor obstacle exquisitely. Someone will probably say, it’s better to be so hot than to have it rain, of course, full agreement, we all remember the cataclysm that passed over Gniezno a week after our rally, destroying whole hectares of forest, sure – it’s good that it didn’t happen, but the fever wiped out all our energy and we needed it for two more days.

American Day – when convertible lovers traveled around Greater Poland, vehicle owners in love with American motoring met at the Scout’s Glade to show off the beauty of their cars, there were dance performances, an American soccer show performed by PATRIOTS POZNAŃ, cheerleaders, USA-style competitions, dancing and photo shoots, because it was difficult to resist the sight of these magnificent vehicles, the Food Truck Festival taking place at the same time provided visitors to the event with a lot of culinary experiences, so there was a lot to enjoy in this hot afternoon, the whole American adventure was tied up by Mateusz from WTC who invited the teams to come to CP!

The evening brought a bit of a chill and again many attractions, first the Paulaner music stage and the first yodeling contest at CABRIO POLAND, then a concert at the Sarbin Restaurant, which hosted us exceptionally, showing off its wonderful cuisine and excellent cocktails! Showing that it’s possible to prepare something unique in the open air and with “schnitzel”, this time Irek Bieleninik didn’t have to warn over the microphone that “the food is thin as a snake’s ass” – probably those who have been with us before remember the story of the 2017 stadium display. After the musical performances, it was time for the Pringles outdoor cinema starring “Glasses from Dymbca” (Policemen with M..i). As dusk fell, we got our first sense of how intensely exhausting it is to work in such high temperatures, and if there were twenty more of us to carry out this project, everyone would have something to do!

Day three “Sunday” was already a special day, aside from the fact that I overslept to enter the live TVP – Natalia as you read, sorry again!

All that has happened has already had a record-parade tinge, preparations for the record in opening the roofs to the accompaniment of AC/DC, competitions for the most beautiful convertibles, classics, etc. One was even awarded a special cup to the Poznań Starost, which was presented by Starost Jan Grabkowski himself, and the parade, which this year, for the second time, led through the streets of Poznań. The sight of more than 160 convertibles moving through the streets of Poznań made our hearts soar, and Irek Bielninik shouted into the earpiece while talking to Aśka – “BUT I HAVE A FUN…. LIFE!” Such emotions are released by convertibles and the people who ride in them!

Overall, the toughest challenge of 2018 closed at. 6 p.m. on the last day of the event, and just the long list of people to thank for their support shows how huge this undertaking is and why it takes a whole year to work on an event of this scale.
The two themes are no doubt that the 4th International CABRIO POLAND Rally 2019 will be held next year in Poznan, Poland, on dn. 3-4.08.2019 and that it will be unique from the formula to the setting.
