GENERAL INFORMATION

It is one of the countries of the Scandinavian peninsula. This is the land of a thousand bridges and vast forests. If our destination is Sweden, it is a good idea to know the rules of the roads there to avoid heavy fines.
The document for entry into Sweden is an identity card valid for at least 6 months or a passport valid for at least 3 months.

Sweden has about 2,000 km of highways and expressways, very good quality. Travel on these roads is free. Only the bridges connecting Sweden with Denmark and Norway have to be paid for.

SPEED LIMITS

In a built-up area, the speed limit is 50 km/h. However, lower speed limits are very often in effect. The list of permitted speeds outside built-up areas is shown below.
