The Boldmen CR4, as it is referred to, sends shivers down the spines of all BMW fans and roadster lovers.

However, if the BMW Z4 is too ordinary for you, and a regular electric car is just too boring, you may fall in love with the Boldmen CR4. Simple? Three men join forces to create an open joker with Bavarian genes.
Friedhelm Wiemann is known for his legendary Wiesmann Roadster, and the father-son combination of Harald and Michael Käs made a name for itself on the car scene with the 02 Everytimer, which combined the BMW 1 Series Cabrio with the design of the historic BMW 02 Series . When three such BMW fans get together, it’s no surprise that the basis for the latest thought was again BMW – the Z4.
In their view, BMW’s genes are perfect for a dream car, but this roadster is unrecognizable, especially the front and rear, which have been completely transformed by the carbon body and transformed into an independent design that harks back a bit to the now baroque Wiesmann Roadster.

The new concept that has come to fruition is called the Boldmen CR4 – named after its bold originators, with its own design and technology from the so-called “Boldmen”. Bavaria’s corporate shelf. “We combine state-of-the-art technical know-how with traditional German craftsmanship,” says Michael Käs, Boldmen’s technical director, who previously worked for small series manufacturers such as Ruf and Alpina. Like the 02 Everytimer, the Boldmen CR4’s body is made of carbon fiber, combined with a luxurious interior and BMW platform and corresponding drive technology.

The Boldmen CR4 is already being called an “open play machine” that has managed to shed about 100 kilograms thanks to its carbon body. This “roofless” racer with features for a thoroughbred racer was made entirely by hand near Augsburg as the Boldmen CR4, not a reworked BMW Z4. Customers can customize individual units to the maximum and have a Boldmen CR4 like no other. The first 30 vehicles are now being produced in a particularly elegant special edition, the Limited Edition.

The powertrain, of course, is provided by the familiar inline six-cylinder engine from the BMW Z4 M40i, which, combined with an eight-speed ZF automatic transmission, does not produce 250 kW / 340 hp, but receives a power boost to 300 kW / 408 hp / 610 Nm. From takeoff to “100” km/h, 100 km/h flies in less than four seconds, and the top speed “should” be limited to 250 km/h, just like the base vehicle. But if the rest of the vehicle can be changed at will according to the customer’s wishes, it is unlikely to fail at top speed. You have to pay for this exclusivity and handcrafted bodywork. Instead of the €63,000 you have to pay for the base model BMW Z4 M40i, you will pay €185,000 for the Boldmen CR4. Enough is enough! It’s now waiting for spring and on the road.
