DS MANAGER. HAPPINESS AND POSITIVE VIBES WITH PARTNERS

After a year of preparation, when the Cermak Eisnekraft Gallery selected Milan Kunc as the artist who would create the design of the BMW i8 hybrid roadster in this unique edition, the environment was in an uproar, min. because Kunc himself was known for his controversial views on automobiles, extremely different from those of most automakers in the world.

Cars and Art.

At BMW, art and cars are closely linked…. And here at this stage, it would be appropriate to ask the question: are you sure! After all, we all know very well that the BMW brand has been even “fighting” for years to, speaking in the language of the backyard, “de-legitimize it” from the boys in tracksuits with evenly greased waxed lysine, from those who, getting into the car after 30,000 thousand. km still do not notice that the lever from the turn signals is broken. You’ll say stereotype, I’ll probably agree with you, but brand communication on the level of “At BMW, cars and art, are closely related” is a big stretch, I think most will admit I’m right. Fortunately for this project, in the case of the “BMW i8 Roadster 4 Elements by Milan Kunc” we see an extremely successful combination, even smelling of freshness, especially since 3/4 of this country can’t afford to buy this car, which will make them few for the time being and this freshness of appearance will last – something that can’t be said about the Dacia Logan, for example.

The purpose of this collaboration was to draw attention, in an admittedly original way, to the topics of environmental protection and long-term stability (presumably the approach to environmental protection as a global concept). That’s why, the brand believes, the revolutionary BMW i8 Roadster hybrid car has literally become an “artist’s canvas.” Of course, the profit from the sale of this model will be donated to the righteous initiative of the so-called “The Model”. to support “The Ocean Cleanup” project of an organization dedicated to cleaning the oceans of waste (plastics).

The philosophy of the BMW corporation focuses on an environmentally friendly approach not only from the perspective of the cars themselves and their operation, but also in development, production and recycling, this smacks of marketing gibberish, and yes I know, extreme is the vision from the E36s flying sideways in our country, the heavily noisy E39s or the X5s leaving plumes of smoke behind, but here in this particular case, we are talking about cars of a different generation, something that is supposed to represent the future of the automotive market of the world. This complex approach to the relationship precisely with this world attracted the attention of the Cermak Eisenkraft Gallery, which offered Kunc a joint project. Kunc who so often criticized conventional cars and their environmental impact in his artwork. The idea behind the whole project was nature and its four elements: water, fire, earth and air. It is the balance of these that forms the basis of life on Earth.

Milan Kunc is a painter who has worked mainly in Germany, Italy, the US, the Netherlands, India and the Czech Republic, from which he first emigrated in 1969 and then returned in 2004. His art captivates with its originality of style, elaboration and content. He is a complete artist, without question.

Motifs of the four elements from every angle.

“BMW i8 Roadster 4 Elements” by Milan Kunc is unique, with each part of the car creating an independent story of one of the elements – fire, water, air and earth. The viewer is specifically provoked by the painter to reflect on the current state of our planet. The project raises questions about the direction of further development of humanity and life on Earth.
Milan Kunc comments on his ideas related to the design of the unique car.

– Mask-front. “The butterfly and vegetation represent the element of aerial and energetic transformation of natural forces. I chose the butterfly as a symbol of this wonderful metamorphosis. ”

– Right side-water. “Fish, snails, crabs, starfish – the occurrence and their persistence represent the balance of the aquatic environment for which we humans are responsible. They are the ones who depend on the purity of the element – water. ”

– Left side-ground and air. “A village transformed by the actions of us humans. I present a unique environment for humans and animals; its purity is a condition for the continued development of life. The wind turbines shown here use the power of the wind, a renewable source of energy. Flowers, bees, birds and animals represent the balance in nature “.

– Backfire. “Our planet is a part of the universe in which all these metamorphoses have been going on since ancient times. Fire symbolizes the source of energy needed for the preservation of life and its development. And also the power of driving forward – the engine, the heart of the car! I briefly touch on the subject of the universe.

I sincerely admire such designs, and it’s gratifying to see automakers reach further than the “worn out” slogans like elegance, quality or power. They go further, giving a clear message for us to think about what we might lose. Of course, I can’t imagine a world without a thoroughbred V8 or that the humble Z3 parked in the garage would have to be stripped of its “heart” due to the introduction of a ban on internal combustion cars, but I am aware of the dangers that may soon accompany us. The concept as performed by Kunc not only looks good, because it’s not just a form of nailing the car, it’s art with a strong message, and I’m very much rooting for such projects. Applause.

I strongly root for such projects and believe that with their presence they will begin to draw attention to important things, but when I read on any of the domestic automotive fanpages how the admin posts a photo of this model by Kunc with such a comment, I do not know if anything will change, or at least in our country!

“And do you already have a costume for the last carnival ball of the year?
