When to buy a convertible – seriously? There are times of the year that are “better” or “worse” for buying a convertible?! If so, I guess my love for convertibles has another face:) So once again, when is the best time to buy a convertible?

1. always… yes, you see correctly ALWAYS! There is always a good time to buy your convertible, of course, among the owners of combi, vans and other sedans that have nothing to do with the wind in your hair there are other opinions circulating min. that only in winter you can buy an interesting copy, or that it is best in winter, because then these cars are the cheapest, because the German stands on the square:) – did I write this?!:) well, and etc. Usually these reasons are very many, but one key one is quote: ” because the owners are trying to get rid of the cars after the season” It is difficult to write at this point “gimby się nie znajo” but it would be appropriate:).

Well my dears, this is utter nonsense, the one who loves his convertible, still in the summer is thinking about what he will do with it in the winter, looking for a new cover for it, looking around for a heated garage or thinking about waterproofing the roof. It is for winter that most owners of their used convertibles look for a workshop for “pre-season preparation” Of course, there are occasions, but just as often as at other times of the year. I’m trying to understand this flow of predicting convertible purchases, but I can’t figure it out. Therefore, if you don’t have your dream convertible yet but have already fallen in love with it and want to join the ranks of damn smiling owners of four wheels without a roof, remember – there is always time to buy a convertible! Always! Don’t wait until winter or autumn, any time is good! Any reason is good to ride it.

2. spring – at this time of year, cars from under the sign of convertibles usually have the highest price, but also remember that after the winter season there are many opportunities arising from poor winter preparation, poor operation, sometimes the mechanics in the roof fail, the reasons to dispose of your dream convertible are as many as to buy. For many, spring means a time of change, it’s like that weight loss from January 1, (personally I know it’s easy because I’ve tried it about 30 times:), therefore, do not wait until winter as hinted by Cześki “subject matter experts” or friends to whom your plans for the summer in a new convertible serve discomfort around the anus only “gas” buy what will spice up the heart of even Amoeba, buy a convertible!

3. summer – this is the time when you will buy a convertible either from a desperate owner looking for money or from a proud dad (the stroller does not fit), both reasons happen equally often and discussions about the fact that in the summer everyone travels in convertibles and no one wants to sell them are ridiculous. There is another group of sellers, these are victims of relationships in which the convertible in season was more important than the other half, I deliberately did not write half! Then you will buy a car for a pittance, often with a scratched hood with a can opener, or a heel, the classic used to say at such moments…life. One more thing, it’s true that usually the summer period doesn’t suggest common sense prices to owners, but it’s not the prices that you talk about when you fall in love with a convertible, so if in the middle of summer, walking by the seaside promenade you see a convertible you would like to own, don’t be afraid to leave your phone number behind the windshield wiper, maybe the owner just happens to want to sell his car and in the worst case, you will make him happy by taking interest in his roofless car.

4. autumn – yes, this is definitely the time when you should look around for what can modestly be called a bargain. I have many acquaintances who are looking for the so-called “new” in the autumn. new challenges, they wait until the end of the season and swap to other convertibles or look for something interesting to buy. There are many reasons, as there are many convertible owners, the desire to change the model, sometimes some minor collision during the summer (remember then that when you buy a damaged car you have time for possible repair during the winter) or simply “the end of love for the convertible” – yes, this also happens. Another thing is that if you are not looking for an aftermarket car but intend to buy a new convertible, then autumn is conducive to bargaining with sellers, usually “after the season” they begin to fear that they have been left for the winter with this “invention” and that the son of the head of the dealership prefers a growling coupe to a convertible, so there is a good deal coming.

5. winter – here the professionals of every variety, Mirki Traders and Januviers (neither one nor the other, I do not mean to offend, such Internet semantics), rub their hands, twirling their mustaches tell how they bought a convertible for “no price” in the winter. Yes, it is in winter that most convertibles are sought in our country, because many, subconsciously, dream of traveling without a roof, longing for summer, for all that a convertible gives once the first rays of sunlight appear. Winter, is the same time of year as any other to become a convertible owner, someone wise once said that for every opportunity that has passed, there is another one, so if you are reading this in spring or summer, you can return with a pattern to the appropriate season and remember. There is ALWAYS time to buy a convertible and NEVER stop dreaming about it!

Extra bonus!

If you have a flair for mechanics or a friendly workshop, body and paint, it is worth looking at foreign advertisements and thinking about the possible. Buying a slightly damaged convertible. Germany, Austria, Italy or France are countries where convertibles are driven more often than in our country and it happens to find very interesting specimens. Ordinarily, the cost of transportation and repair is lower than the offered prices for whole vehicles on the domestic market anyway, then winter and time until the season play in your favor. Can’t afford it, buy it and don’t talk!
